Downieville, population 323
Have you been to Downieville? Chances are you have not. We drove through on Labor Day and couldn't help but stop. It's a teeny tiny town tucked away on a mountainside with the Yuba River rushing alongside. Such a cute little town. Kirk and I talked about what it would be like to live in a town that small. Hours to the next Target? I wouldn't survive. :) 6 kids in the graduating class of 2011? Tht would be hard.

We've been to Downieville! And I had all the same thoughts you did - what would it be like to grow up there tucked away in the hills. We got ice cream at the tiny little shop on the corner of main street. Fun little day trip.
